Mrs. Pinson worked in Greenville County Schools in Accounts Payable for nine years and as a budget analyst for three years when she implemented the budget for GCS on CD and their website. She also analyzed special revenue grants from the State Department of Education for schools that scored below average on their state report card and was responsible for producing salary analysis for special revenue grants.
Upstate Circle of Friends was created out of need. With a daughter and a special needs son, Mrs. Pinson was challenged in 2006 with finding quality special-needs childcare. It was at that time she realized if she was struggling with appropriate child-care, others must be as well. To fill a need, she resigned her position from the Greenville County School District and establish Upstate Circle of Friends with a summer program for special needs children.
In 2010, Mrs. Pinson was selected as one of the "seven women making history" in Greenville County. In 2019 Upstate Circle of Friends started the steps to add a Community Development Center. Currently as Founder and CEO of Upstate Circle of Friends, Mrs. Pinson continues to bring hope to families in need by helping through direct services and collaborations that make a real difference to those UCF serves.
